We’ve been really busy this spring with projects here at RDS! Clients are stopping by to discuss their ideas with us, and our designers have been busy drawing up their plans. The weather is cooperating, and we are seeing our projects come to life right before our eyes. Two of our most recent projects are really exciting!
T. BURNS Project:
One of our clients came to us with a set of design sketches that he had put together but needed our help developing an elevation. Based on our conversations with him about his affinity for the “Craftsman Style” of home, we created three different elevation ideas for him to choose from. We did a different pitched roof on each, changed the window placements, and porch design. Ultimately he had us create the final construction documents. Which of the 3 elevations do you prefer and which do you think he chose? He ended up choosing parts of all three! (See above drawings)
2106 BIA PARADE OF HOMES:
We are working with Sierra Custom Homes designing their BIA Parade Home this year. What an honor it is to be working with such a great builder. This home was designed for informal living and bridging the gap between outside and inside. The back wall of the Great Room opens the entire width of the attached porch through the use of a Sliding and Pocketing door. All three 4’x8” door panels recess into the wall behind the fireplace. This year’s Parade in Verona features 16 area builders, making it one of the largest in recent years. This is only the second time that the Parade has been located within Powell’s city limits. The neighborhood will be within the Olentangy Local School District, which has everyone excited. Save the dates September 3rd – 18th, 2016 for the BIA Parade at Verona in Powell, Ohio to visit this home and see what we can do. We’d love to design your next home!
